About Us
The concept for A Better Way Food Co-Op resulted from local churches, organizations, and individuals that believe there is a better way -- a better way to help local low-income families access the resources they need; a better way that empowers people to use their talents and abilities to provide for their families; a better way that lets members choose what products and assistance their family needs; a better way that helps members connect and build relationships.
What We Offer
In exchange for service work hours at the CO-OP or another community partner, OR attend a 1 hour class, OR a monthly $15 membership fee, CO-OP members will have the ability to shop in a grocery store type setting twice per month. The CO-OP will offer many items such as: bread, dairy products, meat, pasta, cereal, toiletry items, canned fruits and vegetables, and much more. Beyond the products offered, membership in the CO-OP provides an opportunity to build relationships, be part of a support system, develop consumer skills through educational trainings and classes, and learn and encourage better healthy lifestyles. We are sharing the love of God by fighting poverty with dignity through opportunities!
